It’s out with the old and in with the new! Designed Roofing Inc has replaced the existing roofing system at 1400 Castlefield Avenue in York, ON, with a new 72 mil textured Sika Sarnafil PVC Roofing System. This was a big job! They also supplied and installed new ladders, skylight guards and rooftop safety railings. 1400 Castlefield Avenue is the headquarters to Roots Canada and a variety of other high-profile retail outlets in Toronto.
“This project presented several challenges in addition to its size,” states Jim Gomoll, Senior Project Manager at Designed Roofing Inc, “the roof deck of the building required was constructed by wood planks meaning all of the interior sections of the building required tarping while being re-roofed to keep the dust and debris from falling on the occupants.”
Jim sends his praise to Trevor Penny and says he “did a great job completing this project while dealing with the summer heat as well as the removal of the coal tar pitch”.
